Our Story

Boomswag Blinds and Drapery was founded in November of 2018 by entrepreneur Clay Wright (Owner). In 2016 Clay began his contracting career in window coverings by providing installation services for big box stores such as Home Depot and JCPenney. After gaining extensive knowledge and experience in the field, Clay decided to open his own company in Prescott, AZ in 2018. Clay’s vision for Boomswag was simple…to be different. Clay says, "I saw a desperate need for a company that would provide genuine customer service. When I started out installing window coverings for big box stores, I had customers say how much they appreciated my calling beforehand to let them know I was on my way , arriving on time, or asking if they would like me to put booties on before coming into their home. I wanted my company to stand out and stand up for its customers.

Clay was born in Kingston New York in 1988 and just after two short years of life on earth was moved to the complete opposite side of the country to a beautiful historic little town nestled in the mountains of northern Arizona called Prescott. Since 1990, Clay has called Prescott, AZ his home and continues to be an active and productive member of the community. Clay is a patriot to the core and decided to serve his country by joining the USAF in 2010 at the age of 21. Clay served six years active duty as an aircraft mechanic on the KC-10 midair refueling tanker and deployed twice during wartime conflict. After completing his six year enlistment in 2016 and receiving an honorable discharge, Clay and his wife decided that coming back home to Prescott where they would be surrounded by the love of their family and friends was the best decision for them. Clay enjoys the finer things in life such as hiking, camping, visiting national parks, spending time with family and friends, playing golf, playing musical instruments, running, exercising, eating really really good food! The most important things to Clay is his relationship with Yahweh, his family and friends.
